Brent McBride - President and Co-Founder

Being the son of a hit songwriter, Brent has a strong background in music. His professional background also contains experience in finance and office management. Brent is the in-house authority on intellectual property terminations, having personally served termination notice on over 2,000 copyrights. He also serves as a close liason with other industry professional clients.

 

Wes McBride - Vice President

Wes oversees the office management, catalog administration and catalog evaluations. In this capacity, Wes has brokered over $5 million dollars in royalty stream acquisitions. His involvement in these acquisitions has included contract negotiations and catalog due diligence. He is also the son of a hit songwriter and a musician in his own right. His professional background is diverse. As a production and operations manager for a large mid-south corporate production company, he was involved in numerous aspects of the entertainment industry. Staff management, contract negotiations, logistics and budgeting were among his many areas of responsibility. 

 

Jim McBride - Founder and Consultant / Client Services

Jim McBride's involvement in Copyright Recapture is a labor of love and dedication to all creators of intellectual property. He is a CMA Award winning and Grammy nominated songwriter. To his credit are 6 number one songs, 10 top ten singles, 18 top 40 singles and over 100 album cuts. Other notable achievements include his Creator Award from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to the musical heritage of his home state as well as an Academy of Country Music Song of the Year nomination.

Numerous ASCAP and other organizational awards have been bestowed upon Jim throughout his career. He served as President of the Nashville Songwriters Association International and he recently ended his term with the board of the Nashville Songwriters Foundation. He has continued to write successfully over the years and stays active in the songwriting community.
